Description

Odesa CHP-2 plays a key role in providing heat supply for our city. The problem of reliable and cost-effective energy supply of the heat generating enterprise is one of the most acute for our community. The introduction of own energy generation will significantly reduce the cost of heat production and significantly reduce heating tariffs for all categories of consumers. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of at least 10,000 community members who will be able to access more affordable and stable heat supply. Generation of heat and electricity: heat will be used in combination with existing equipment, in particular through the use of waste heat, to ensure efficient heating and power supply to municipal infrastructure. Peak load coverage: The plants will provide additional capacity to cover peak loads during periods of high energy consumption, which will contribute to the stable operation of the community's energy system. Backup power supply: The CCGTs will act as a backup power supply system for critical facilities and consumers in the city, including the industrial site and the Budbaza and Novoodeska substations.
